Jamie has almost a decade’s experience in birdwatching which originally began as a stress-busting hobby from his then teaching role. With a keen eye, he quickly became a expert at identifying different bird species and their calls. One of his most memorable moments was spotting a rare Cetti’s Warbler on his local patch, where he is often seen with his binoculars.

Although Jamie doesn’t regularly contribute to written content on the blog, his background in academic research helps inform the blog’s strategic direction; raising awareness on conservation issues that often go unnoticed in mainstream media. His vision for the blog is to create a central hub for birdwatching enthusiasts where they can come and find out all information about birds.

One of Jamie’s significant roles at Nest Box Live is producing video content for the social media channels. Using footage from our worldwide platform of Smart Bird House Cameras, he shares the magical journeys of what happens in the life of birds. He produces both short and long-form content and on occasions videos go viral reaches millions of people.

His goal is to create a worldwide platform for birdwatchers through the nest box technology he has developed. Creating a community where people can share the joy of birdwatching together.
